In , "Tomb Raider" was a revelation. It was the atmospheric, adventure-laden Indiana Jones-style video game we'd always wanted. There were ancient ruins, mythological treasures and dinosaurs. Lara Croft was gaming's new icon, but that was due to her appearance as much as her game. The buxom adventurer was a strong, independent character, but her design was straight out of male fantasy. Naturally, rumors quickly started flying around claiming there was a nude code in "Tomb Raider" that would strip Lara down to her birthday suit. The code never existed, but that didn't stop gamers from trying. Fake codes and secrets made the rounds on the Internet in its early days in and throughout gaming culture.

'Tomb Raider' Has a Nude Code
But amongst the reviews and general buzz surrounding how great the game looks, you can guarantee there will also be a small sub-section of people frantically trying to find a way to remove Lara's clothing. Back in November, rather than exploring the incredible open-world of Fallout 4, some gamers took the opportunity to spend their first 24 hours with the Bethesda's new toy creating several nude mods. A few weeks back with the release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, PC users took a little longer but still managed to get two nude mods out just three days after release. One mod removed underwear and made characters smoother than a Ken doll, while another which gave characters their anatomically correct unmentionables. Well, this is unfortunate: a glitch discovered by a Canadian player makes it look like Lara Croft's tank top has gone all see-through. Here's his account of how the bug came to light while he was playing the game in 3D on his PC:. It was right after we died from an explosion; we kept getting strange glitches. We had been to close to a gas exhaust and shot a flame arrow beside it causing Lara to die. When we came back into the game, water, shadows and lighting looked very odd. So we kept selecting re-load last check point hoping to solve this issue. For the most part everything looked ok after several re-loads, until we went to break a valve and I noticed her tank top looked funny in the light.
